T.G. Jackson
Sir Thomas Graham Jackson, (21 December 1835 – 7 November 1924) was one of the most distinguished English architects of his generation, contributing significantly to many of the colleges at Oxford, including the Bridge of Sighs over New College Lane. He published the volume Six Ghost Stories, which includes the story featured here, in 1919.
