Hume Nisbet

James Hume Nisbet (8 August 1849 – 4 June 1923) was a novelist and artist born in Stirling, Scotland. He moved to Australia at the age of sixteen, living there for seven years. Nisbet produced many volumes of verse and books on art and fiction, but he is best remembered for his ghost stories, of which “The Phantom Model” is a standout example.
