| Val Nolan lectures on genre fiction and creative writing at Aberystwyth University in Wales. His work has appeared in The Year’s Best Science Fiction, Interzone, Unidentified Funny Objects, BFS Horizons, and on the ‘Futures’ page of Nature, while his story ‘The Irish Astronaut’ was shortlisted for the Theodore Sturgeon Award. His academic articles have appeared in Science Fiction Studies, Foundation: The International Review of Science Fiction, Irish Studies Review, and the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics.
