An award-winning author/illustrator of children’s Books and Fantasy illustration, Martin Springett was born in England but emmigrated to Canada’s West Coast with his family in 1965.
As a musician, he toured and recorded in Canada, England and Europe in the 1970s. Returning to Canada, he moved to Toronto and created the iconic covers for Guy Gavriel Kay’s classic trilogy, 'The Fionavar Tapestry'. This led to illustrating many children’s books and then to writing his own work. His latest books are "Jousting With Jesters - An ABC For The Younger Dragon", "Breakfast on A Dragon’s Tail", "Kate and Pippin - An Unlikely Love Story", "Bright Weaving", and "Gateways". Martin lives and works in Toronto.
